Elderly migrants People in difficulty Emergencies and asylum

The sheer diversity of the groups we work with is one of the cornerstones of ARALIS’ identity. The principle of everyone mixing together is one of the association's strategic aims: first of all it is about standing up for the principle of housing without discrimination – this is also a defence against exclusion and a way of achieving integration.

Every year ARALIS houses over 6000 people. The increase in the number of people with housing problems means that it is impossible to cope with demand (there are between 10 and 15 people applying for each unit of housing).

We can currently divide the people we help into 3 main categories: elderly migrants, people with housing problems and requiring emergency accommodation and asylum seekers. The association also caters for anyone whose work requires them to move around within the department: students, employees and people on occupational training courses who require temporary accommodation.
